Google Adsense Mobile.

Google announced the arrival of their all new Adsense for Mobile program earlier this week. It works the same way as regular adsense except it's only for websites that are optimized for mobile browsers.

If you are currently an adsense publisher you can start benefiting from Google for Mobile immediately, providing that your website is optimized for mobile browsers of course. To get started, just log in to your account and click on the adsense setup tab, then select adsense for mobile. The rest of the process should be pretty much self explanatory.

The future looks bright for mobile content publishers and online marketers alike. According to Google, there are currently more mobile devices worldwide than personal computers and televisions combined. Content Publishers can now monetize their online "mobile" sites, and marketers have the opportunity to tap into a new market. It seems like a win-win situation for now, only time will tell if indeed it will be the next big earner for Google.

Another tid bit of information I found very interesting comes from a Mobinet mobile communications study that was conducted in April of 2005. After interviewing 4,000 mobile device users in 21 countries, research concludes that more than half of all mobile handsets are less than a year old, with most having full access to the web. Analysts are also predicting that wireless will be the communication channel of choice in new, up and coming markets where hard-wired communication lines are scarce.

If you ask me, I'd say now is a good time to start getting your dot mobi on. With all the mobile devices on the market and all the hoopla going on about mobile adsense, mobile shopping, etc... It's only a matter of time before all the good domain names get taken up.
