The art of pinging your RSS feed.

Pinging your blogs RSS feed has become quite the craze as of late.

When you "ping" your blog, what you are actually doing is informing certain servers that you have updated the content on your Blog. Most pinging services will also place your feed into "RSS feed directories"; which is great, especially if you use a number of different pinging services, not only because it gives readers the opportunity to subscribe to your feed in more than one location, but also because it can create a massive amount of incoming links to your blog.

While searching YouTube for affiliate marketing material a couple weeks ago, I came across a video that I would like to share with you. The video briefly describes how you should set up your Blog for affiliate marketing. When you're done watching the video, make sure to scroll down and check out my list of pinging services that you can use to ping your blog feed.

Here's the Video:

I hope you were able to gain something from that video as it contained some very helpful information. After applying the techniques mentioned in the video (along with some of my own) I've definitely noticed an increase in traffic to my blog.

The following is a list of Free pinging services that you may use to drive traffic to your blog:

Feedburner - More than just a pinging service, they actually "burn" your RSS feed to make it as easy as possible for readers to subscribe to your content. They also have automatic pinging, so your feeds are current the moment you post new info to your blog. Definitely worth checking out.

Pingoat - Ping more than 40 services at once with the click of a button.

RSS-Network.com - Submit your Feed to a well-organized, RSS Feed Directory.

These are the services that I personally use to drive traffic to my blogs, if you know of any other good services please post them as comments or contact me to have them added to my list.

That's all for now,

Using Squidoo to get more traffic to your Blog.

If you haven't heard about Squidoo yet, you've been missing out on tons of Free traffic. They Provide a service similar to MySpace, in which they allow you to set up your own web pages absolutely free of charge. But unlike MySpace, Squidoo will actually split their Google Adsense earnings with you. You can then turn around and split your earnings with your favorite charity or opt to keep 100% of the cash for yourself.

In addition to giving you the free tools to build great looking, money earning web pages, they also provide you with tons of optional extra goodies. You can integrate your lenses (web-pages) with Flickr, eBay, Google, Del.icio.us, Orbitz, Amazon and more!

Once your Squidoo lens/lenses are set up, you can link them to your blog to help bring more traffic your way. Every lens also comes with an RSS feed, you can submit this feed to RSS FEED directories and pinging services such as: Pingoat, which will help you get more traffic and establish an array of incoming links to your pages.

Another thing I absolutely love about Squidoo is the fact that you can create multiple, I believe unlimited, number of lenses under one account. This makes working with multiple lenses a breeze, I would hate to have to log out and log back in every time I needed to edit something in another one of my lenses.

Their registration and set-up process is a breeze and will have you ready to start publishing on the web within minutes. Visit Squidoo today to begin building your first lens!

Don't forget to come back and post comments, I would love to read about all of Your experiences with Squidoo! If it's interesting enough, I might even link to it from one of my pages...

That's about it for now folks! Make sure to visit me daily to learn more about affiliate marketing, blogs, and new technology. If you know anyone that would also like to know more about affiliate marketing, please do not hesitate to send them the link to this blog: affiliateoutlook.blogspot.com

Affiliate Marketing Without a Website!

A couple of years ago it wasn’t as easy to get your work published on the web.

You either had to be a web/graphic designer yourself or have the money to pay for one.

It’s a little different now in 2007!

You’ve got all types of “social networking” sites online today that will allow you to create your own customizable web pages, FOR FREE!

You’ve got sites like MySpace, Squidoo, Blogger, & Digg, just to name a few.

I don’t have time to get into all of them right now, but I will tell you a bit about MySpace.com, (for those of you who’ve been hibernating in a cave somewhere!) MySpace.com is a website that allows its members to fully customize their own web pages, compile "friends" lists and post comments & bulletins for them to view; They even allow you to maintain a blog, and then control it ALL within one admin panel! I'll explain it a little more in detail at a later date, I don't want to stray too far away from the original topic of this post.

Now, I do hope that you can see the beauty in what I just described to you in the previous paragraph...

You can set up your affiliate marketing business without spending a single dime!

I can hear you guys already:

"How in the world is this possible?"

As I mentioned before, in todays world wide web there are tons of social networking sites that will allow you to basically build your own little web empire free of charge. You can take advantage of this, no, you must take advantage of this.

You must take advantage of the FREE tools the internet has to offer!
It would be ridiculous of you not to. Put it like this, if you have the ability to write a couple paragraphs a day, you have the potential to earn serious money online. Obviously, the more you post - the greater your income potential gets. So how much you earn is totally up to you and how great your desire is to get paid.

That pretty much wraps up my brief overview on how to get started in Affiliate Marketing without spending a penny out of your pocket.

Here are the links to the websites mentioned above, and a few extra that you might find helpful too.

MySpace - Provides a social networking service that allows Members to create unique personal profiles online & communicate with old and new friends.

Squidoo - Squidoo is the world's most popular site for people who want to build a page about their passions. You can even earn money with the "lenses" you create, visit them today to find out more!

Digg - Digg is a place for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the web. From the biggest online destinations to the most obscure blog, Digg surfaces the best stuff as voted on by our users.

Blogger - Create multiple Blogs under 1 account absolutely FREE of charge! You'll have to sign up for a Gmail account first.

YouTube - The premier destination to watch and share original videos worldwide through a Web experience. YouTube allows people to easily upload and share video clips on www.YouTube.com and across the Internet through websites, mobile devices, blogs, and email.

Facebook - A social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet.

del.icio.us - Keep links to your favorite articles, blogs, music, reviews, recipes, and more, and access them from any computer on the web. del.icio.us even makes it easy to share your Favorites with your friends and family! (or prospective customers!)

Technorati - Technorati is the recognized authority on what's happening on the World Live Web, right now.

These are some really good sites that can help you get swarms of traffic to your affiliate marketing websites. Remember, a couple paragraphs a day keeps the 9 to 5 away!

That's about it for now, as always....

Happy Blogging and the best of luck to you all!

What is an Affiliate Program?

I always get tons of people asking me "what exactly is an affiliate program?"

They ask me this because everywhere I go, I always try to spread knowledge of affiliate programs and how great they are. I've found them to be a good source of income, and believe that anyone with the ability to type, and the determination to earn some money, can do it to.

So what exactly is an affiliate program?

I'll try to explain this in the simplest way possible, so that everyone can fully understand the definition of an Affiliate Program.

The Affiliate Program was created as a way to spread the word about a particular product or service.

Companies that have affiliate programs allow us to promote their products & services. Whenever a sale is made, we are paid a commision. That pretty much sums it up. Really, that's it.

It may sound like an easy way to earn money, but there lies a little problem within our picture perfect fantasy. You must have traffic (and lots of it) if you plan on earning any real money from your affiliate ventures.

You can have a million web pages/blogs floating around the internet, but if you dont get anybody to read them - they're of no good use to ya. When I say read them, I mean really read them. You'll have to be creative and come up with exciting topics to entice your site visitors to read your material. Once you can maintain a nice re-ocurring traffic flow to your website(s), you can move on to the next item on your to-do list, which should be: getting your visitors to click on your affiliate links.

My goal with this post was to introduce the concept of affiliate programs, I hope that everyone was able to grasp at least the basics of what affiliate programs are and what they are capable of in terms of earning potential.

Feel free to leave comments, ask questions, or share your affiliate program experiences with the rest of us.

Welcome to the Affiliate Outlook Blog.

Welcome to my blog, I am going to show you guys how I've been making money online for the past couple of months. Now, I know that a lot of you may have attempted to earn money online before (or maybe you just claim you have) but I'm going to show you the exact same steps that I've taken to earn a substantial amount of money during the past couple of months.

Making money online is real, do you think the internet would be up and running like it is if there wasn't any money to be made? That's a no-brainer!

There seems to be a misconception though, a good majority of the population (I would say about a good 80 to 90 percent) is under the impression that they're just going to put together any ol' web page, throw up a couple of affiliate links, sit back and watch mass amounts of profits start to roll in.

That's not the way it works!

If you're going to get into affiliate marketing, and I mean get into it for real, then your going to have to do more than that. You will have to dedicate time to your venture, and you will have to treat it like a business, after all, that is what it is.

Ok, so you're not an HTML guru...... You don't have to be.

Maybe you don't know a lick of HTML, you can still claim your share of the affiliate profits that are up for grabs. I'll get into more specifics tomorrow, actually later on today, it's already 3 A.M. and I've got an early start tomorrow.

Stay tuned to my blog over the next couple of months as I reveal money earning tips, techniques, and tried and true methods of a successful internet entrepreneur.
